Hotel manager Bob Ferguson is looking for something for his hotel lobby - something. . . low maintenance. To amuse guests, Bob Ferguson purchases a frog for his hotel lobby. When the frog faces an existential dilemma, both the guests and employees are forced to confront their own realities, though a sympathetic bellhop may be the only one to understand the weight of those decisions.
A Fellini-esque short film about the futility of life, “Frog Fortuna” was written and directed by Johnny Grieco and Tim Swaddling while attending the University of Windsor in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The film was shot from February to April 2007 with a small budget and a small crew on location in Windsor, Ontario. The film could not have been made without the generous support of Min Bae and Studio 5.
